There are anacondas in Amazon Rain Forest (which by the way goes into Colombia, Peru and Bolivia too)

Of course, they are not like the ones shown in the "Anaconda" movies, but they are really big.

You can see how big they are here: http://www.amazonian-fish.co.uk/images/sucuri.jpg

Oh, but do they angry snakes or friendly? The one on the picture looks nice to people?!
On the film, they show that Anacondas are quick, how true is it in real life?

Yes, Anacondas do exist.

Here in Brazil they're called Sucuri. They are huge snakes (usually about 7 meters), sometimes finded bigger than 10 meters.

They can be found in lots of the brazilian States, from the extreme north-west of Rorâima, to Paraná, in the south of the country.

They're not poisonous, are more active at night, use to live in rivers and lakes and they're favorite dish are the Capivaras, the biggest rodent of the world.

To kill, they use their strong bodies to crash the bones and to cause asphyxia to the capture.

Despite their size and strengh, Anacondas are shy and accidents are not common.

anaconda usally grow to about 9metres long, and most are usally around the amazon river. But anacondas are found all over south america even as far south as argentina where yellow anacondas have been found.
