Hi Singapore,
Juz wondering how Singaporeans react towards homosexual or lesbians? The no of this sexual preference is increasing day by day n it's definitely will keep on going? Is there any effort from the gov or NGO to curb this practices which is considered abnormal or immoral among the majorites?

a_lazy_cat | 5 May 2006 - 4:01ami think the thing is, we dont care. we dont really pay that much attention to ppl's sexual preferences. the elderly i know just dont like effiminate guys (sissies lol), but they dont openly discriminate homosexuals, n the younger ppl well, dont care. ya, gay marriage is not legalised. on a side note, there's a shop somewhere here that's totally run by gay men, n they're all like muscular n stuff, lol! xD

Let people do what they want as long as they don't harm anyone
People here are aware of the increasing trend of homosexuality. The older generation is more conservative and objects that idea. I am sure that as time goes by, the society will accept them more openly. Personally, I see it as a very disturbing situation. Many got into it due to curiousity. If they are not aware of such lifestyle, they could be straight.

i am not singaporean but i would like to write here.
i agree with princesspeach. we can avoid ourselves for meeting them and cant deny the reality that people's sex orientation has changes and not all of us are straight. actually i am not agree with gay or lesbian but i will not say that they are abnormal or immoral people. i am straight but i have friends who are lesbian and gay and i think as long as they are nice and do not harm me, i will not mind to have friendship with them. this is more to personal decision and personal life. i think my government ( Indonesia ) will never legalise gay or lesbian marriage.
