Brissy is a night-mare at the moment..Not so much due to roadworks in general but the crack in the brisbane expressway...On a normal day it takes me 10 mins to get to work..yesterday it took me nearly 30 mins..and i guess it will until they decide how there gonna fix it OR ppl take public transport that can it will take me that long every-day til its rectified....
I bet that underground tunnel their working on has upset the foundings of the expressway. Oh and abuse and road-rage is rife..horns horns going off..not a common thing here but ppl are stressed...Of course i'm not..it gives me more time to think and listen to my music and nothing much we can do about it except leave for work 1/2 hour early.
I am glad they found the crack though it could have resulted into quite a tragedy if gone un-noticed as it is a high point of the expressway and in morning traffic cars are bumper to bumper up that off ramp, if it collapsed they would tumble down on the bottom flow of traffic..ooo disaster..

roadworks are a clever disguise for forced reflection ,, nothing you can do but sit and wait ;;; slows traffic , mmmmm must be some other good points ;; what always makes me wonder is why that the same piece of road is dug up over and over ;;; gottta be a rational reason .............

The roads in Qld well at least north Qld are shocking, as soon as it rains they fall apart. I cant go driving anywhere at the moment in this town without having to dodge very bad pot holes

not really , well not on the motor bike

Oh hell yes. Just about everywhere you go around my area you have some kind of traffic problem because of road works or because the road is dug up for this bloody pipeline.
