well, my mum does like music that I should ''technically'' like... as in modern music... but, I don't like that, I like music she would be more likely to like but she doesn't. I'm into glam and classic rock.

Music is for everyone. For all ages, all sexes all nations. So why would I care if my mom or dad would listen music I like. I don't see how it could bother anyone

i wouldn't freak out but well, to me it's normal, my mom and i do have exactly the same taste in music and she actually influenced me a lot, i did grow up listening to the ramones over and over again and yes, i'm still listening to this kind of punk/ rock music like her, it's good i think, we don't annoy each other when we start listening to totally loud music at home or stuff and we also went to a concert of a german punk band (die toten hosen) together last year and yep, it was fun!

My mum didn't like the same music (modern music) as I did, at first.. but now she loves the music! it's strange.. But fun! we always compete if we know the artist on the radio or not!.. and unfortunately; she mostly win

Sadly my mom or dad or step dad don't like the music I like. If they did I would be quite pleased really cause then on road trips I wouldn't have to listen to their crap. lol. I happen to like Rock, Ska-Punk, Emo, Alternative, Techno, Goth, Hardcore, Electronica and that sorta thing.

I love metal and both my mum and dad are old rockers so they kind of listen to the same music as me, but the older bands i guess.
