30 penpals,with real snailmail?! ..gosh! how do you manage that? do you get paid for this? where can i apply?

I used to have a lot of them,now I do most of it through e-mail or MSN.

30 good grief : how do you keep up i can just about manage with my 3 or 4 via email.

i just love to write and have alot to tell....
i guess i can write letters pretty fast...
with emails i never know what to write, lol.

I have lots of penpals, don't really know how many, but many of them have become very close friends to me. It's not just about writing letters but getting to know people and making real friends.

I have had two, and I really liked it, but they suddenly stopped sending me letters. I prefer email. I email with a Canadian friend of mine (because of the 6 hour time difference we can barely talk on any messenger) and a friend. I love getting long emails

im really lazy when it comes to writing proper letters. i keep forgetting to write or when i write them i forget to send them. i just found a letter (complete with address and all) in my desk. wanted to send it to a friend like 2 months ago and forgot about it ...

I think it's great to have lots of penpals from different countries. I seem to have learnt a lot from my penpals. I prefer snail mail because it's more personal than smails! It's also very nice to get something other than bills and bank statements once in a while

I'm trying to keep the number of penpals I write to steady at the moment since I'd like to know them well as friends, not just some people I write to. Everyone I write to is so different though... even if they come from the same country, so I guess having lots of penpals is a good thing!

A few years ago i had got about 15-20 snailmail pals but now just 1-2.
