hi there Canadian male looking to make friends in Poland...I have no connection to Poland but have always had an intrest in the country.....would like to know more about the way of life which I am sure isn't to different from my way of life or at least I think so......would be great to hear from someone

Hi, I'm from Canada as well but just moved back from Poland. I've spent time there every year for the last 4 years and also taught English there for a year. Actually, it's quite different from what we're used to but they have pretty much everything we have here, as far as food, clothes, products.
In terms of history though, you can't beat Poland...a good book, if you're interested in learning about that particular aspect is: "For our freedom and theirs" which details the Polish pilots in WWII but also their history of occupation by the Russians and Germans. It's very inspiring and says alot about what kind of people they are.
