Tamil language & literature
I've recently been reading about the Tamil language and associated literature. And it looks very fascinating. I also (being a bit of a linguistics enthusiast) really like the grammatical structure of Tamil, and it's just the sort of thing that I would use for my own language that I am constructing.
Apart from the Thirukkural, what famous Tamil works are there to investigate? Are there any Tamil speakers here who could share what they thought about their language?

Thanks for this
I've heard that Tamil, as a living classical language, has not changed immensely over the years. So can you understand ancient Tamil texts without translating them?
