Great Danes
Is it just a dog breed, or do they exist in human form as well? Who do you think are the Great Danes? Of past, present and perhaps even future

I would say it's both 
My favorite of all the great Danes was Victor Borge. Those of you who are too young to remember him, that's a shame, you missed a really funny, talented, and nice man.

Yep, that's the one. He is hibernating in the cellar of Kronborg castle. According to legend he will wake up and save Denmark when the country is in danger.

'Store danskere' (=Great Danes) is the title of a new series of stamps that recently came on the market. There are four stamps showing Poul Henningsen, Victor Borge, Arne Jacobsen and Piet Hein, respectively. They are all quite known here in Denmark and apparently they are who some people consider 'Great Danes', but I'm curious if anybody out there in the big world has ever heard of them too? Well, Victor Borge was already mentioned here earlier.. but what about the others?

The Danish Piet Hein was a poet, author and inventor. I believe he was a descendant of the Dutch Piet Hein.
