there is no hitch-hike system in indonesia .. so never do this here, coz : no one will let u get into their car, people might staring at u wondering what u do or perhaps laugh u, or bad people will take this as advantage Smile

suitable times? .. umm avoid rainy season coz it might ruin your plan, nobody like to travel and rain stops them hence avoid nov - feb .. i guess it's not much different with ur country. if u dont like to travel to a place where the local people also having their holiday, please avoid mid of june - mid of july coz indonesian students are having their school year holiday, avoid october around idul fitri celebration coz students and workers having their holiday, avoid end of dec - early jan during christmas and new year holiday .. those periods are peak season periods in indonesia ..

travel alone in indonesia? since u r malaysian, i guess language wont be a problem .. as long as u are well-prepared with all your itineraries and know where u wanna go, guess it wont be problem for u ..

places? whoppssy .. too many places to mentioned, including places that should never missed. indonesia is too big to discover in one visit .. it will depends on ur interesting, if u like nature ( e.g. beaches ) never miss bali, lombok, nias or north sulawesi and kalimantan if u want to diving, one of famous lakes in indonesia locate in sumatra island, u can find temples in java island, etc .. i've told u too many places to mentioned Very happy

wish u good luck and welcome to indonesia .. enjoy ur trip!
