Old records? vinyls even 78's
Do you have any old records -- LP's singles etc? If so what is the oldest, and do you still play them?
For me... Rolling Stones -- Aftermath,
Pink Floyd -- Saucerful of Secrets
Can still play them but also burnt them to CD

I've got quite a collection of vinyls and I still play them. Some of the stuff has never been released on CD, so I don't have any other choice, really. But apart from that, I guess I'm a collector anyway...

My life - my mind - my words - my opinion.
Yep, about 3,600 vinyl LPs + some 400 45' singles. Lots of them are collectible now, so I've insured them, just in case....
My olders are jazz recordings (John Coltrane and other jazz musos- around '65-'67- Impulse Records,a great label of the time)
but my jewel is
"Their Satanic Majesties Request" by the Rolling Stones, original '67 first edition (Decca records), the one
with the 3D like cover
(oh, another one....The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour", the two 45s original version+the whole album and booklet)
My father has about 500 LP:s, from Dire Straits to Genesis and ABC, so old rock and proge-rock mostly... But my friend has one masterpiece, original LP for Led Zeppelin's fourth album, don't remember the year, but something like -74... They cost like 400e each, and are very rare, and yes, it has satanic message if played backwards.

Lots of vinyls, more than one thousand. Sorry I don't listen to them anymore, I need to buy a new pick-up and is a hard job here. You know, in the mp3 era vinyls are kinda dinosaur stuff, and the apparatus to play them nearly extinct.

About 400 of them.
The oldest is "A whiter shade of pale" by Procol Harum (a re-issue)
Can't play them anymore, downloaded some of them from the net in mp3 form.

I have a half dozen old 78's, four 33 1/3 albums, and a small stack of 45's. I still have a turntable that plays the 33 1/3 RPM albums and the 45's but I can no longer play the 78's. It's okay, I'm using them for decoration only.
