What hotel facility can't you do without?
I like big beds and I'm into King-sized beds with sheets that have a thread count of over 700, like egyptian cotton, lots of pillows and white creamy sheets. There's something very inviting about them - they're clean, pristine and crisp!

Hotels to me are like necessary evils--sleeping in those beds always makes me wonder how old they are and how much mite crap is in them. Shudder.
But I don't mean to dampen your enthusiasm re: the yumminess of a delicious bed you slip into when you are bone tired, wiggling your legs on the cold sheets and pulling the covers up to your chin--and yes, that high thread count IS pretty awesome. I decided long ago that this is one thing I will indulge myself with at home--after all, we spend a lot of time in our beds, and good spinal health (read: have a quality mattress) is very important (although frequently ignored) so why not make it worth the time?

The hotel room must be nice and veeeeery clean and it must be located in a nice area, will never stay in a Ghetto hotel, I rather sleep in my car
I am more than impressed with the key card entry...then after that...bleh....can do without.

a clean bathroom
Just as long as there are no insects in the room. The worst motel i ever stayed at had huge mosquitos because the windows couldnt close. I killed one of those little buggers and it was filled with blood!

bed and laundry service! i had difficult time with laundries in Germany's hotels... but finally I found one and then I washed ALL of my clothes for the whole weeks. hehe.. quite a chaos... since there was only ONE waschmaschine, and there are 40 ppl of my team who wanted to wash their clothes....

Clean water and toilet paper. I always remember to bring toilet paper when I travel though, so... clean water. (I'm not picky!;])
After a whole day of going to places, I only need a good bed regardless of sizes and good temperature for a good sleep
