No offence to you but your Mum has a kind of warped view on things anyone can get raped, be it young, old, thin, fat, beautiful, ugly. It's not unheard of for 70 year old ladies to get raped.

And I don't think it's really fair that your Mum considers one sister to be more beautiful than the other, aren't parents supposed to be unbiased about that sort of thing?

I believe rape is really a crime of violence and aggression...and not sexual lust. In fact..the violence itself and the fear it creates... that is the real true turn on for most rapists..and often the only way they can get turned on at all. Many are impotent otherwise.
And as far as stranger on stranger rapes...I hear about as many elderly women in their 80's getting attacked as anyone else. It seems to have alot to do with opportunity and having an advantage of control....
The plainer sister is far more vulnerable because she is the one most often putting herself in harms way.
But she must realize her mother feels this way...how bad for her.

And I woldn't "blame" this on the girl at all--because the victim is not to blame anyway, but also because I, too, read this situation to mean that the mummy seems to have more value for the older daughter--not cool at all for any reason, but for such as superficial reason as looks into the bargain? That's scary and sad.

It has been reported a while ago that a woman spiked a mans drink with the date rape drug ryphanol and raped him .Apparently he got laughed at at the police station.Like it says above unfortunately it can happen to anyone .Half of the crimes never get reported ie men being raped by other men cos of the stigma and shame attached to it .Its awful they should they have just as many rights as women kat xx

It can happen to anyone, male or female, adult or child regardless of how "attractive" the victim is. It's all about control and power. Making someone feel totally inferior, humiliated and violated by removing every ounce of dignity, trust and innocence from them.

You cant possibly make a profile of someone who is going to get raped, its all kinds of people so just leave it.

You can however make a profile of someone who is going to perform a rape, usually rapes are performed by middle east or african trash who has a terrible view of women. Thats a fact, our statistics of rapes in Sweden proved especially people from Middle East and Northern Africa to be at the very top of the stats and still we continue to import this filth for no good reason at all. The statistics were done by The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention and were SO clear that it got cancelled after a few years because it could be used as propaganda (god I hate my government sometimes). Three of my closest friends has been raped, I wont go into detail of it but 2 of those rapes were exceptionally brutal, all of the rapists were immigrants.

@ Inamorata...Your Mother is thinking in a peculiar way. Of course, any woman, (and even men), can get raped. I don't think rapists select their victims based on beautiful facial features. Sometimes, on a dark night, a rapist will follow a woman walking in the street (with intent to rape her) without even knowing what her face looks like till he gets close up.

Oh yes...and PS: I think it is most unfortunate that your Mum makes it public knowledge that she thinks your younger sister is not as beautiful as your other sister. Not only is she putting your younger sister at risk of street violence etc..., but she is also giving her an inferiority complex.

It only causes endless trouble when parents compare their children like this. In my family something like that happened and I think it affected both me and my sister adversely. However, our parents never put either of us in a risky situation for rape. Your Mum needs to wake up to what is happening here. You might have to give her a bit of a nudge to get her to see it.
