haha, okay look, firstly, you need to speak to the spanish...not the english!
Secondly, bull fighting does not make one a terrorist!
BUT...I am with you, and I agree that it is a cruel and un-necessary game, and it should be banned.

I also can't believe that an European country, let alone in this century would allow that kind of treatment to animals. Being from Spanish descent I love traditions but the bullfights/dogfights/ cockfights they all should be banned. And the word terrorist is overrated by now, it got old the first day

Sometimes they show here on the news that a bull kicks the toreador's ass, that's the nice part.

If you feel really strongly about this then you should speak to those that live in that country on the Iberian peninsula they call Spain. This is the UK and we don't have bull fights here last time I checked. Also, I don't think you'll get much response calling Spanish people terrorists. What?

maleKermit | 10 July 2007 - 3:31pm

I am not Spanish, but a frog living in te south od Frogland. We also have corridas here. We also have people who fight to stop it.
I live in Camargue. We have bull games here but the bull is never killed it is only men who take risks.
Our games are called Course camarguaise. I suggest you to have a look on the net what it is and you will see we can play with bulls respecting them and not killing them. this is a good argument against corrida.

Bullfighting is very cruel - cant see how anyone can get pleasure from cruelty to animals !!! It should be banned

However it dont make a person a terrorist ... also this topic belongs in Spanish channel cos UK dont hold bullfighting shows

Ok!, I`m a spaniarg who lament this cruelty. I hate bullfight. Foreign people think that is a tradition in Spain.... They are totally wrong, it`s only a bad tradition in South of Spain, likewise "sevillanas" is a particullar folk of this south region of Spain. I think that most of spaniards hate bullfight and "sevillanas". Every region in Spain has a special tradition and folk, like other regions in the world, but not as cruel as bullfight.

it_wasnt_me is totally right. You gave for sure that we all like bullfighting. For your interest, that's just a minority, each day there's less and less people who like bullfigthing. And people who like bullfighting... terrorist? don't make me laugh. Yes, it's unfair for the poor animals and I'm anti bullfighting as well, but for f*ck shake! My father loves bullfighting, I don't agree with that, true, but he doesn't look like a terrorist at all!

You should possibly reconsider your arguments. And the bullfighting in Spain is something that should be considered by the Spanish themselves, or by people that have lived in Spain enough time for understanding why are the bullfightings there. It's not something that was invented today, did you know that the origins come from the Ancient Greece? And do you know we are not the only country with bullfightings? Mexico has the biggest bullring in the world, in Central America and Caribe it's also practised, and I don't know if this is something new to you, but in Southern France, they also have bullfighting traditions.

Spanish aren't criminals or terrorists, but if they are cruel also Italians belong to the outlaws ( I think to Siena's Palio and to the treatment reserved for the horses ). The cruelty is inborn in these demonstrations deep-rooted in the tradition and history and it will be necessary of the time to improve animals' conditions and avoid useless slaughters. I think that the people maturity will be decisive for this.
