I would like to offer my condolences to the families of those who have died in this terrible disaster. My heart goes out to this people and I can't help but think what must be going through their minds as the plane lost control on the runway. The time to point the finger of blame will come soon enough but now I am sparing a thought for those who have lost their lives. Sad

I have read that this particular runway is notorious for being very slippy. It makes me wonder if such tragic incidents on this scale can happen again. For a city the size of Sao Paulo, one of the world biggest and most diverse cities, I find it very surprising that they have such a poor quality runway at their airport.

People of Sao Paulo and Brazil, please share your thoughts.

I heard that the runway needed some kind of strips that werent made yet that made the plane glide.

That was terrible! I felt sad because of the plane crash thing, just like everyone, I guess. Many people died.

Anyway, Brazilian people: The President will speak to the nation, today.
