Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Oh my god, I have just finished the final Harry Potter book... I'm in shock that it's over, yes you may think I am a nerd, but I don't care.
It was amazing - JK Rowling is a literary genius. I was gripped, I laughed and I cried... and I can't believe they are over.
It's time to re read... ![]()

I thought Mrs Weasley was amazing! And she swore! I never thought she had it in her. Bellatrix got what was long time coming to her I thought!

I didn't read it. But my sis did. She was on about it all the time so I guess it's good indeed. After all she told me, I just wonder how the last film will be like, coz they're gonna have to explain a bloody lot!

Well they had a lot to explain in Order of the Phoenix and I don't think they did a very good job of that film so I hope they don't bodge up the last film.

Actually, the only ones I miss are Dobby, Hedwig and Fred.

I thought it was great!!!! It was the best book yet, am very sad that its the last harry potter she's going to write
I agree it was fantastic!! I cried when Dobby died too, and the Fred death was a complete shock to me too!! Mrs Weasley was so good!!! I knew Snape was gonna be on the side of good, that was my fave chapter of the whole book (he was my fave character!!!!) I think this was the best book in the series, and now I actually understand everything!!!!! Do you think she will write anymore? I also had a feeling Harry would survive, along with Ron and Hermionie!!!! I didn't see Mad-eye coming, or both Tonks and Lupin!!!!!! It was so good, I'm just gonna have to read them all again!!!!!!
I didn't think she would kill or Ron or Hermione. Well, Harry's not dead is he so that may lead the way for another one... but everything is wrapped up for me so I can't see her writing anymore, but if she did I'm not saying that I wouldn't read it!

i luvd the book..veryy goodd ya no?
I'm re reading it now so things are coming back to me that I have previously forgot to mention.
1) Dudley - saying thank you to Harry for saving him from the Dementors - who'd have thought he'd have it in him?!
2) Percy - He came back from the dark side!!
These two were a complete surprise for me

I've just finished reading it 3 hours ago. It was just perfect! I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. It's so sad that there won't be any more books in the series, but on the other hand it just had to end at some point, and she has done a magnificent job at tying up all the loose ends from previous books. It indeed was really sad with all the great characters that died
But still the ending was so great. I liked the part where Ron and Hermione finally kiss and Harry goes "Is this really the right moment?" or something like that, because they were in the rush of finding the Horcrux. That was funny. To sum it all up the entire Harry Potter series were the best books I have ever read, especially this last ones of course. I feel like I took part in an amazing journey that has come to an end ![]()

I also in my wildest dreams would have imagined that Snape was in love with Lily.

I found the epilogue a bit too much and lame. She could have just expanded the end tiny bit and leave the 19-years-later-rubbish. We knew he loved Ginny a lot and they'd be happy forever anyway.

I agree about the epilogue, I thought it was a bit unnecessary, and that the book didn't need it really, although saying that it was nice to know Ron and Hermionie end up together!!!!!
I think it was clear all throughout the novel that Hermione and Ron would end up together.
I hate when authors have to write things instead of just implying it.

Finally finished it. (After having bought it on the night of release) And I must agree...excellent. But I recall the deaths of two main characters dying. Maybe my idea of a main character is a bit of, but there were a hell of a lot more than that. On Mad-eye, Fred, Dobbie, and Hedwig, I was disappointed in their deaths. "and they were dead" Not to much info or lead up to it. And Tonks and Remus. They were just laying there dead. Damn.
Are there any questions left unanswered?

i think some parts of the book were a bit disappointing, because reading it felt like "who cares what I write, at least that I write something to end it!"
and the very last chapter sucked. of course it was good to know what happened to everybody but not in that way.

I was a little bit disappointed with the very end... Where does Harry live? What do they all work as? Did Harry become the Auror he wanted to be? I want so many things answered!!! But no more books are coming out nw to answer them...

Frankly my dear, I don't give a darn.
i finished it in 2 days and the days, weeks after i missed it so much. i couldn't believe that it's over. but this end!!! it's amazing!!! jk is a real genius! but now it's over. IT'S OVER! after i read harry potter for 6,5 years (i started when i was 9) it's really over and it's strange. when i read the last 50 pages i really thought that harry would have to die because i knew that he was a horcrux but how should he live when he was one? and when i found out that it was true, that he really was a horcrux i just thought "he has to die, he has to die,..." at the moment i'm reading the german version and soon it will end again. then i have to read "19 years later" and it will be strange again because somehow i grew up with harry and his friends. i always waited for the next book but now there won't be a next book. now it's over. really over. but i still LOVE it!!!
I think Rowling fed the readership with stereotyped story, totally clichéd, sorry. When I finished book 7 I just thought: poor, really poor.

was it just me or did anyone else feel that they were losing a part of themselves! i have never been so upset that a series of books has finished. i loved all the characters and i will miss them terribly ![]()
I only have read the last two harry potter books, and was really impressed by Deathly Hallows. You know a book is good when you don't really notice the 700 or so pages it has. Your drawn in and before you know it, you've reached the end.

Oh yes! I finished it as well! It's amazing! Now it's over - boohoo. At least I can read it again when the Estonian language version comes and it's yet again a different experience
And we still have the movies as a bonus and such!
**SPOILERS**
Do not read from this point forward if you don't want to know what's going to happen!
I actually knew Snape was good, cuz of the 6th book. There was a random part in the book when Hagrid told Harry that he saw Snape and Dumbledore arguing about something and Snape saying that he doesn't want to do it and such. And at the end when Dumbledore was saying "Snape, please" or something like that, I was sure he wasn't begging him NOT to kill him, but the opposite. So I was glad that it was the truth. And on the 7th book - the Snape's story - it was AMAZING! I just wanted to go and hug Snape! lol And the fact that he asked Harry to look at him - I think it was because he wanted to see Lily's eyes or something like that.
I was really dissapointed at the fact of the people Rowling killed, Fred Weasly's death shocked the hell out of me. I didn't expect THAT at all. But Mrs Weasley being furious and duelling with Bellatrix was excelllent!
