Erasing Memories
If you could take a pill that would erase all
bad memories that you ever had, would you?
I personally wouldn't, because even those bad
memories that happened to us, makes us
grow and learn, and develop as who we are
today.

It can take many lives to clear the debts incurred in one lifetime.
I read some talk of this...(I believe it involved bio feedback)...in which the victims of truama ..rape..assault..war..could maybe not necessarily erase the memory... but the negative effects and feelings associated with the memory.
On one hand I do see the postive....like a dream come true
...but on the other ..what does that make the purpose of life...of learning to overcome..to struggle and grow?.
And don't our memories contribute to who and what we are?
Makes everything seem a little too easy and homogenized.

At the moment, I would. At least some. Not all bad memories, but those which are tough to deal with!
Hmm, but some hinder.
For these, apply Neuro Linguistic Programming to ensure they are useful.

At this time, I can think of no bad memories, only good ones, possibly because at the moment I have an excess of positive energy
or maybe I am just getting too old...NOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Of course they will all come flooding back next time I feel depressed, like when the lightning hits the phone line again and wipes out the Internet connection. A little pill may do wonders then.

In reality i don't have any bad memories because even in bad events i always try to find something good.
Everything is comparative in life and we ourself's don't know that what we call good is really good and vice versa.
It just necessary not to concentrate on bad and good memories, they will come and leave we must try to live with love and faith.
There is something good in something bad, we need only wisdom to find out what is good.....
I think that it would be a nice easy way to ease the pain and suffering and despite the fact that it would be easy, I wouldn't do it...ok, so in my weak moment of heart wrenching pain i probably would, but in the detached numb state of awareness, nope.

Seriously.. no I wouldn't do it. Not ever. Anything truly painful is something I should not forget. And if it wasn't something that painful, well then it's something I can get over without needing a pill!
Suuuuure i would!!!
would buy tons of those, i'd even like to forget speaking ![]()

There is no need to take a pill because in time most memories get erased on their own or they are no longer as "bad" as it was during that time. We learn from our experiences in life.
The more you try to erase something the more you are giving energy to the mind to remember. The best way to erase memories is to live in the present moment and let-go of whatever is in the past. Accepting the past and being ok with it is the way to live in the now.

Yeah that's precisely why the pill figure is proposed

No, I wouldn't. Our personal growth is the result of both our positive and negative experiences. If life were rosy, it just wouldn't make sense.

Oh no, I would not erase my bad memories. Although they are sometimes hurting and of some of them I am still ashamed of, they are part of my life. memories is what we live for.
And you would never know, what good memories are I there weren't bad ones.
to erase bad memories?
NO NO and NO! Can you eat only sweets? I can`t! To have full life in all colours i need the whole spectrum of feelings!
Sometimes i have to eat pungent and even bitter food but it makes me feel the sweets much more sharply ![]()
