pacific settlement has a bad track record...first the tahitians creamed the hawians and forced culture changes...but i think australia was disastrous...the aboriginies had a developed culture just no written language,but whereas in newzealand where one of the first things given to the maories was a phoneticly written language of their own australia officially banned aboriginies from towns and cities and pretended they dont exist...my son served 2.5 years in aussie and has nothing but good memories of how kind the people were to him so aussie,,i owe you one but facts are facts...

From what I can see and through growing up
I have come to the conclusion THAT!
We are our own bloody worst enemy ....well the Gov of the flamn past is
How is it that they used to get free housing, Health, Schooling etc etc etc etc.
WHY?????
Because it was flamin tooo hard at the time and ppl tryed to sweep it under the flamin carpet
NOW!!!! There was no plan (EVER) well one that farken worked anyway
Now the whole flamin issue has become this hot farken potatoe that no Gov wants to touch
All I saw while I was at these places was
KIDS running a fucken muck and I am not talking just 1 or 2.
It was 10.00am and heres mum and dad drinking & playing the fucken pokies while their kids are outside. WHY !!!!! aren't they at School?????????????

I dont care if its tidyin up the streets ......make it if they dont turn up they just dont get paid ...Farken simple give em all a broom & shovel and tidy up the joint

i am mortified what you guys are saying about our cousins , you say why dont they get a job , when is the last time you stood in line behind one ? would you employe one on the front counter lets face it what work is there in the out back of w.a. zip, only station work you say about the cheep housing would you pay rent on a house they live in you say they get a car, not so any more they stop making valiants a while back now

the army were not sent in to police the community, they were sent in to protect the woman and kids from the drunken men and this was done by the australian goverment because the state goverments didnt have the guts to do the job for fear of been labeled racist

what the aboriginal community need are more role models like Cathy Freeman, Ernie Dingo, Nova Peris and Lionel Rose. I have a respect for aboriginal elders and their beliefs but its the younger generations that have stereotyped them as they are. I know a few aboriginals who come through work, and they are really nice people and work hard but you also get the ones who live on social welfare all their lives and drink booze and sniff paint etc. I think it's up to the aboriginal communities to start having no alcohol communities. Thats my opinion, and I believe everyone is entitled to their own.
