How do you get to your job? walk, drive your car, car pool, bus, bike, motorcycle, or work from home?

During my working life, I walked, rode the bus, or drove my car to work.

Thank you for urban sprawl, the non-stop building of new homes that no one wants, and the destruction of all farmland to build the new homes with illegal labor from south of the border that you won't protect. Thank you for trying to destroy Social Security and medical care for all Americans, great bunch of guys, oh did I mention the non stop wars to support conservative republican arms and ammunition manufactures?

malemicha65 | 6 September 2007 - 4:32pm

I work from home.

femaleIona | 6 September 2007 - 4:35pm

First I take the bus, then change to underground and last I have to walk a few minutes Smile

malelikeable | 6 September 2007 - 5:13pm

I get to do a 15 minute drive everyday as I live in the countryside and there are no public transportation available and I end up working longer hours in the afternoon very often so it would not be convenient even there was a bus going by.

maleferieguru | 6 September 2007 - 5:18pm

Bike, 10 minutes, a bit more during the winter.

maleslakker | 6 September 2007 - 9:01pm

I bike or if its bad weather I take the tram, got a driving license but never bothered to get a car..

I go employed even before I graduated, oh no even before I entered a university... in fact I began to work when I was around 15... before that I also worked for my family but it was just 'domestically'.

first real job I used my car. After I changed my job to one closer to home , I went by bike, and now that I moved to a new place I use my car again.

An 8 minute walk to the underground, 20 minutes there and again walk ~ 15 minutes. So all the way takes me 40-45 minutes

Walk from home to the station - 10 minutes
Get train to London - 45 minutes
Get another train - 30 minutes

It takes a lot longer when public transport is messed up (which, in England, it so often is)

When I had a temporary job I first took my bike to the railway station ... then the train ... then walking to the office Razz (I could take a bike, but I liked more to walk.)

malerobgen | 17 September 2007 - 5:31pm

Depends on the weather, but usually I walk or drive by car.

femaleredwillie97 | 23 September 2007 - 11:09am

I work from home now...but prior to the last few years I almost always had a long drive..
That's the thing here...everything is so spread out and public transportation so limited...that it is almost mandatory to have a car..

If I'm in rush, I'll take the train to work (usually very packed with ppl but faster). But I do prefer to take bus to enjoy the full view of morning scenery.

maledeng | 8 November 2007 - 9:27pm

Bike.

maleAtreides | 16 November 2007 - 4:05pm

I take a bus to the subway station (I could walk, but it's not so near). It takes about 10 to 15 minutes in both cases. Then I take the subway (obviously), 20 to 30 minutes. And then, I walk the remaining distance, 5 to 10 minutes. Every day.

maleaguila | 21 May 2008 - 4:16pm

This reminds me of a Belgian soldier who goes to work by bike. Only 140 km a day. I have to say, I would never do that.
