Most roofs of the houses around here are made out of cement or bricks I guess.

i would love to have a tile, terra cotta (the ones i've seen on asian temples & houses)..but, alas, they would never weather our cold zone here. at least i don't think so..i've never seen them around here..the closest to us i've seen was texas, i think it was. *thinking*

Ah I am living with the tôle roof as well... I hate it but the house was not meant for me at the beginning, so I just have to get used to it.

Most houses here do have tiles ... although they can be made out of different materials ... some exceptions do have a roof made out of sheers ... mostly people who have that are pretty wealthy

The roof is made from metal....(corrugated iron, as a matter of fact). I love to hear the sound of the rain pelting down on it when I am inside.

Wooden construction frame, isolation, wooden planks and then double laid roof tiles.
