Columbus...shmolumbus,america was named america because of Amerigo Vespucci....

And Bermuda was named after Juan de Bermudez but the Spanish were not the first people here...so that means that just coz a place is named something doesnt mean that person discovered or colonized it...means nothing more than "someone liked the name", that's all
