No,it was considered very gay for a guy to be in a choir, I'd probably be beaten to death on the schoolyard if someone would have found out that I was a cute little choirboy Laughing

LOL, so much for Swedish tolerance. Razz

My mother has a stunning and absolutely briliant singing voice--it's known through our family. And it is the crime of the century in my opinion that she did not pass it to me, since I love to sing.

I was never officially in any choir, although I did sing one time at the Christmas pageant. At a practise I remember the teacher saying, "Your choir is as good as its worst singer," and I could have sworn she was looking at me when she said it. Sad Razz

Yep! God knows why as I can't sing! But we only had a school choir for Christmas concerts so my services weren't needed that often.

Yes, I used to be in the choir and enjoyed it a lot! I love to sing, but the ppl in the choir oftenly joined it for the reason to escape from the lessons! (especially the boys)

No, I deliberately sang badly during the "trials" so I wouldn't have to suffer that embarrassment.

Until about age 13 I had one of the three best voices in school. One boy was a coloratur soprano, I was a soprano, and the third boy sang alto. The three of us were taken out of the larger choir to form a trio. I still have a good tonal memory but can't carry a tune in a bucket.....I lost my singing range a long time ago.

femalec_man | 19 January 2008 - 5:41am

yes i was in choir in grade school middle school and high school I was also in church choir and still would be if I didn't decide that the priest at my church is a prick. but grade school and middle school choir blew because they'd always put me behind my sister and then any solos went to her.

maleGrayWolf | 24 January 2008 - 11:36am

Nope, I was banned from all religious activities, for some strange reason…..

Yes, in the performing choir, The Pheonix Singers. Not as a singer, but as a musician.
