Hitler was murdered.
I just finished this brilliant book called 'Doppelgangers'. The essence was the book focussed on expert opinion, testimony and scientific analysis of Hitler and his inner circle during the last days of his evil empire.
Quite an eye-opener. There is no doubt about Hitler dying in his bunker in Berlin, the question was HOW he died. Evidence now strongly supports that he was murdered by one of his own! And that his mistress escaped Berlin. Quite in intrigueing book and has certainly put a whole new spin on this evil mans last days.

I did read many books about hitler and his life ... remembering the titles isn't that easy for me but I do remember authors better ... Ian Kershaw is quite famous for his biographies about the Third Reich ... and there he writes down a few theories ... cyankali could be a possible death cause, he could have tried suicide with a gun and there were more theories about it ... about Eva braun ... there is is quite sure that she didn't escaped ... she died with Hitler ... actually she did die (according to Ian Kershaws study) earlier than Hitler himself ... it was just a matter of seconds though ... most of the close circle of "leaders" did do suicide with cyankali so did Eva ... it seemed to be very effective that time ...
There will always show up new theories about his death, but we will never know what really did happen to them ... they both got burnt up and what does remain isn't enough to find a possible death cause.

Unfortunately I have already returned the book to the library. It is a very in-depth scientific analysis of the events. But I'll go back and photocopy a few pages and post them here.
There is overwhelming evidence to support forensic fraud and cover-up surrounding this incident including evidence to support that the womans remains buried with Hitler was not Braun. The myth surrounding his death has been exploded I'm afraid.....
israeli "history channel strongly leans towards assisted suicide as in the Japanese code of bushido...an any event the soviets at the time were convinced they had the remains of hitler,but htere was nothing to put on display in red square.

I still believe that Hitlers and his gang was just a bunch of wimps that couldn't deal with the fact that they had lost the war.. So I bet they all committed suicide as it has been said the whole time... but ofcourse, it pops up new theories all the time, so...

Not that neutral ; didn't you hear about "holocaust denial" ? I think that the question of knowing "how died Hitler" is minor History ; it's much more important to understand why nazism became possible in order that never comes back, to maintain memory and preserve future generations from "negationism".

Have read the book, and although entertaining it really is just pure speculation. Thomas is also the man who claims that Hess was an imposter who voluntarily chose to spend his entire life in prison and that Himmler wasn't the real Himmler etc etc..... I think the Allies might just have made sure!!
But as a work of fiction its worth a read.

sounds like 2 books i have read on the issue, the last days of hitler and the death of hitler. Both interesting reads, although just speculation as to how he died and whether it was self inflicted or murder, guess we will never fully know.

the whole idea is to get people thinking, there's always going to be theories about how he died, a lot of it is just going to be speculation, none of us were there so theres no harm in open discussion
