Are you a pedifile? because I don't know one adult that has any good reason to learn teenage slang terms unless they are trying to pick up teenagers. I mean honestly how much of a real conversation can an adult have with kids unless it's for deviant purposes.

there are tons of adults that can actually speak with teenagers normally about normal topics. so please don't worry about it. and please don't make wild accusations so quickly without real evidence.

i was trying to be diplomatic.. not that i need to tell anyone why i want to learn slang, but this is the reason.. i have friends who have teenagers, i thought it would be fun to tell them what teens around the world are saying. I go to a coffeeshop that is across the street from an arts college also.. but of course they allow 40 year olds.. we all get along, sometimes I want to act like their mom, but I don't.

The word 'biff' is used to describe a pretty person or it can be used instead of the word 'good'.

For example: "That's well biff!"

Biff is derived from 'buff' which is also used to describe a pretty person; "She was a buff ting".

In America (at least where I go to school), teens say stuff like 'dope' for 'cool'

and 'chilax' for a combination of 'chill out and relax' (like hanging out after school, not really doing anything).

chilax can also be used as a command. If you tell someone to chillax, you want them to stop taking things so seriously and loosen up.

It's funny reading the slang from other countries

In the south of Aussie we say that somethings gay if we think it's lame.
example: maths is so gay!

Or if we just don't like it.

But yeah, if we call someone gay we mean that they are losers or yeah just lame and trying too hard to be cool.

This was a cool post but I think any adult who tries to use these types of slang will not succeed to be accepted by teenagers because they are trying too hard to fit in and be 'cool'.

So any parents out there save your children embarrassment from meeting their friends and saying "hey veryone, I'm sarah's dope mum/dad" Very sad.
