Cornish pasties. Thumb up

maleAnicka_ | 24 January 2008 - 10:40pm

"Asado" of course!! The sort of big barbecue so typical here, which includes different meat cuts and also chitterlings ("chinchulines"), sweetbread ("mollejas"), blood pudding ("morcillas), "chorizos" (a pork sausage) and more. Argentina is the country that eats more meat in the world! And I definitely love it! Very happy

Hmmmmmmmmm... Arepas!!!!!!!! Hungry

This is a kind of hot sandwich, but the "bread" part of it is made of corn flour, a flat circular piece of about 7-12 cm of diameter. You can cook it in many ways, maybe all of them. When cooked, and while is still hot, you just open it with a knife and put inside whatever you want (or have) to eat with, just like a sandwich. Cheese do great because it melts. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Young red,i very much like cantonese food..22 panfried steak rice choumein..28= a zillion types of finely cut wok vegetables,num num..I don't eat pork anymore but a lot of chinese restaurants in israel serve only kosher so we go to them..43 is a vegetable dish,in fact it is a soup but it doesnt taste like jewish soup it tastes chinese and i always add english black pepper..In a kosher restaurand pork is replaced by turkey and the chinese immigrants teach us how to process it like pork so that the restaurant remains authentic..Dinner with you here in israel would be a riot..the waitress would look at you ,aahaaa this is definitely a chinese girl and would speak with you ,mandarin then she would look at me and think ahaa ,not a qua lo qai lo, a BRO! these children are BORN here ,they speak hebrew without a chinese accent they are israeli,and damn but they can cook.

femaleMarelmed | 25 March 2008 - 2:58am

I love a good American style cook-out! Hamburgers, cheese burgers, and hotdogs grilled out in the fresh air on a warm summer evening with buns slightly toasted over the flame and an array of topping for your choosing (lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, onions, mustard, etc). Add a big bowl of potato chips and an ice chest full of soda and call it a night!
(okay, so the food's not always the best, but its more about the experience of spending quality time with friends and family that you don't alway have time to do like you should)

=)

My favorite ones are:

1. Barbecue of bull ribs, prepared with the bones in low heat charcoal for a long time that gives to the meat tremendous softness and flavor. We don't use any spices but salt;

2. Torresmo, that is fried pork belly with crunchy skin and juicy fat.
