I hate geese. They look nice, but they are mean. Don't let them fool you. What do you think of geese. Do you have any? What do you think of geese hats?

i prefer mine cured or smoked....mean sunza bitches...

maleferieguru | 25 January 2008 - 8:31am

I like them, very tasty. In Norway we only have wild geese, and in the past 5 years, the number has increased quite a lot. Good news for a hunter....

I have a stuffed goose on the wall of my computerroom, some people are afraid that it will fly of the wall.Laughing

I'm always inclined to say they are horrible but they are only defending themselves. We have geese at college and there was one particularly nasty one called Wendy who had been hand reared by one of the technicians but she used to chase people and she pecked my friend Gina's bum Very happy All you had to do was maintain eye contact and walk towards her and she'd back down.

Never heard of goose hats but my comments for the beaver hats apply here - the animals/fur/feather/scales look better on it's owner rather than a human.

I have never really had much contact with geese but they look nice

femaleBogMyrtle | 6 March 2008 - 12:05pm

Poor wee geese.

If so much hated - then I'd like to know why? It's not as if they are lying policticians, cheating husbands/wives, criminals and ya-call-wot... Perhaps they know just who to annoy and at least they're safe from vegetarian pots & appetites...bless the vegs.

Anyone ever tried goose-a-la-orange? Just like duck a la... The orange of course can be replaced by plumsauce too. Yummie. Those flavours...

During my many stays in Kiltland (I have a permanent fling with the Scottish Highlands) I became more aware of the large flocks of Egyptian geese. They like to rest for days by the lochs, before continuing their long flight. We have a pair here at work, that likes to plonk in the swimmingpool and quack-quack from time to time until the extremely bass & noisy hadidas and dogs come and spoil their fun...

Cheers for now.

Just like with people it really depends on the goose.

I live on a river and they come up in my yard all the time to lay on my bank, plus i feed them sometimes. they can get aggressive if you get to close, but i have had some geese eat out of my hand more than once. but they are messy with their droppings. that is the worst part for me.

Treat em nice. geese are people to.

Thanks for the nice input, Evenste.

We all need a little place under the sun & feeding them...no wonder the geese love you!!
