Its a BLIZZARD out there
So western Canada is having a bit of a blizzard out there ... and sadly it seems that the weather channel has said that last night and this morning we're having a blizzard.
Its not the first blizzard we've ever had but like it seems really tame compared to when I was a school kid because it was like normal weather for us and we still got our asses kicked to school.
have you ever had blizzard days?

It is very rare for it to happen in my area but we also had a blizzard here in the state of Missouri. I wasn't fond of that at all but still managed to get out and get things done.

Thank you conservative Bush/McCain Republicans for global warming, the use of food (corn ethanol) in the gas tanks of SUV's causing famine all over the world. resulting in slow death for all life on earth. Thank you for urban sprawl, the non-stop building of new homes that no one wants, and the destruction of all farmland to build the new homes with illegal labor from south of the border that you won't protect. Thank you for trying to destroy Social Security and medical care for all Americans, great bunch of guys, oh did I mention the non stop wars to support conservative republican arms and ammunition manufactures?
the other day, it was really windy in toronto. there was some snow but most of it is gone already. but it was so windy and felt extremely cold cuz of the wind chill factor.

I wish we had blizzards where I'm from. Way back in the 1970's, I remember getting a couple feet of snow at a time (You'll have to forgive my unit of measure. Je suis un stupid tourist Americain. Desole.). As the years have passed, that couple feet has slowly diminished to inches. And now at the turn of the century I hardly see more than an occasional drizzle or freezing rain cover my lawn. I really believe that "Global Warming" theory & think snow will someday be something that even the folks on the Labrador coast will cease to witness. I live in the State of Indiana and am just waiting for the day when my lawn becomes "Death Valley Ver# 2". Then I'll pack up my stuff, get an immigration visa to Canada & pack my happy ass to Vielle Quebec. I've always been a Lt Dan Taylor (See the movie Forrest Gump & you'll understand) type and beg for a freak of nature storm. I miss having snow so deep that you have to carve your way to the mail box with weapons grade explosives. We don't have that here anymore & haven't for several decades. So if any of you have plans on vacationing in Indiana for some awesome down hill skiing, let me save you the trouble. We don't get any snow here anymore & it sucks. You Canadians have it made. You haven't totally polluted your nation's ecosystem, you didn't kill all of your Indians & you don't have enough people to tremendously impact the Global Warming phenomenon like we have.

Yeah we got clobbered here in K-W as well. Another 30 cm's this weekend. That means this winter surpasses the amount of snow since 1971!
Can't wait for the +30's of summer!!!

Back when I lived in Ontario We had alot of snow and occasionally blizzards. The schools closed I think.. actually it's been so long that I really don't remember.
The only blizzard we have here is in the frozen foods at the grocery.. they are yummy!
