Benelux is 50 years old. To some it's function got hollow with the evolution of EU, to others, it's a great instrument of cooperation and increasing power between the bigger countries. Probably a new agreement will be made soon. What should be in it?

A declaration of independence to the EU!

The European Union is a good thing! Anyway, Benelux is all fine with me, so long as it doesn't interfere with the (establishment of the) common market. I just wish that they had pushed through the Benelux Uniform Law on Private International Law. Another such an effort would be fine in my book...

Benelux works pretty well I think.

@halfblood... Benelux lives by all the EU rules. But they often go further. At the moment, the most important thing in Benelux is the inter-police thing... like Schengen, but extra. BLEU even had a common market and coin long before EU.
