Momma's boy

Do men/boys tend to have better relationships with their mother? In my family my mum always seemed to be easier on the boys and would give in a lot more. Even with my children, my son and I seem to have a better rapore and can talk about anything, but my daughter, it seems to be a bit different. Maybe we are too much alike. Very happy
What about you, are you a momma's boy?

God Yeah! All boys are mummy's boys because they like to be taken care of and mummy's go easier on their boys because they are "poor defenseless boys who aren't supposed to know how to cook and clean and all those women's things."

The converse is true also though: dad's are much easier on girls than they are on guys...

i have noticed that and i've always wondered why dads are easier on girls and moms are easier on boys Laughing

i don't have kids, but i can say that of my 6 nephews 5 are totally momma's boys the other he's more of an odd ball and tends to go more for his dad then anything.

but like as kids we were all about our mum, my dad not so much.

Nah *sigh* and I don't want to be one at least in my situation.

I guess I am, probably because I am too much like my dad.

I don't have a brother but I have noticed among all my guy friends that they are all very close to their mothers.

Am i one? Not in the traditional sense of the term, no. Some boys have a good relationship with their mother, others have crap ones.

What I don't get, is why Mothers are so darn protective over their boys once they get married...

My mom said she'd never be like my dad's mom...until my brother got married last year. To tell the truth, my dear mom has been acting very similar to my gran who used to be the virtual mother-in-law from hell (sorry granny).

Only much-much later in life did my grandmother accept my mom, by saying "If it weren't for my daughter-in-law, my son would have become a ho-bo". Cheers to that.

lol yeah it seems like mommies like their boys better. just like how my mom only cares for my younger bro bleh. hm i guess girls arent as close bcoz they tend to not want to talk to their mothers bout stuff (unless u have a relationship like lorelai and rory frm the gilmore girls then thats a diff story:P) whereas boys talk about a lot of random things.
