Nothing much but beaches.... you've got to be kidding me.
Get in a car, and drive anywhere.
There are Rain forests, Mountains, Gorges ect...
Open your eyes.

Yeah...I must confess that I've seen more of Americky and Europe than my homeland... maybe one day I'll extract my digit and "go bush" but I don't think it's been the same since Slim Dusty died..and besides, these days I don't think you could leave your wallet under a Mulga tree and still expect it to be there 2 years later... Slim did... or one of his "troupe" did... I read that in his biography. Did I tell you that I met Gordon Parsons (the guy who wrote "Pub With No Beer") in a pub in Parramatta? Yeah, he was doing a set and told me he'd "rather be fishin'".... he also told me that he'd heard the "dirty"version of PWNB and thought it was pretty funny.. I remember him looking into my eyes.. it was kinda spooky. It's not that I thought he was gay or anything ...at least I don't THINK he was gay.. despite his fuzzy powder-pink cowboy "chaps" and the pearl-handled six shooter he wore like a sporran..(I'm kidding, of course).. but it was just looking into those old eyes.... it reminded me of that beautiful John Prine song "Hello In There".. funny how you don't forget some things.. Gordon's been dead for about 15 years or more but I still remember those ol' dinky-di Aussie eyes of his that Sunday afternoon... seems like a million years ago..

i've been to every state along the east coast and there are so many wonderful and different places to visit in australia, if you are planning to come here i would suggest you do a little bit of research and decide where you would like to visit
