Thanks for your suggestion. The funny thing about my pic is that it's a "fantasy" drawing of a being that doesn't exist, and of course it's not a photo. Despite that, I once got a message commenting on my "body structure". My body structure?? I've never posted a picture of myself in my profile, and one of the reasons is exactly to avoid unwanted contacts.
On the other hand, I think that changing my sex or age in my profile may be an obstacle to meeting people who are genuinely interested in friendship or cultural exchange, because I would be giving information that has nothing to do with me. I like to get people to get to know me, so that they can know if they are interested or not. I haven't been able to solve that dilemma.

I know that exposing them publicly may not be the best response, but it's the only one that I have. They don't respect me, they harrass me and even insult me. Why should I be kind with them? I really hope they read the forums, they need to get the message! They should be kicked out of the site, because they bother a lot of people here. But nobody does anything. So I'm doing something myself!

I have the same problem! I ignored about 50 guys... I think they wont stop sending stupid messages, even If you have a warning in ur profile and write about it on forums, try to ignore them...

No matter what you do they still send you stupid messages, I have a warning on mine saying I am not interested yet more often then not there is a stupid message in my Inbox. My policy is IGNORE SENDER and DELETE then no matter how hard the pathetic man tries to send a message it will be unsuccessful.

I've gotten a few *very* graphic messages from some guys despite having a warning in my profile. when u get those kind of messages report them. theres a thing below the message that says 'report message'. just click on it. I've gotten 2 or 3 guys deleted off the site doing that Rarely get unwanted messages anymore..

How about notifying the turkish government about the anti-Ataturk topics here? If we're lucky they'll shut mailfriends off from the turkish internet just like they did to Youtube. If that doesnt work, link your profiles to the anti-Ataturk video (even though it is quite crappy) and try again.

I just want to say dont mind but there are too many people like this.Unfortunalety you re not the only one who says these stuffs.I wish,these kind of events never happen again but i dont think so.I am just sorry coz my country is related with this stuffs but these people actually from poor regions of Turkey,not educated well and even dont know english, just crap things "hi baby,blabla sexy,nice...." This has been a problem on this website for ages and I don't think there is any solution to it. I mean, most of those guys just send a message once so ignore list doesn't really help. Any kind of messages in the profile are pretty useless as well because those guys don't read people's profiles (more than 90% of all PMs I get are straight from my "don't say this" list). Besides those mainly annoying "hey u r very sexy" messages I've also received some really really rude ones, like one guy wrote that he will rape me anally and kill me...

I know Turks tend to get angry if anyone mentions "horny Turkish guys" but it's just a fact that a huge majority of those messages come from Turkish guys. No, of course this doesn't mean all Turkish guys are like that. That's why, when we complain, we talk about the horny ones. If a Turk is insulted by this, he probably feels he belongs to that category. Luckily I also know nice and smart Turkish guys so I don't get too prejudiced.

I get a lot of marriage proposals from african guys.. I'm a guy ffs! I have been counting the amount of harrasment messges from country turkey my girlfriend got and last year it was like 400... I dont care what their nationality is, just report those people who think its cool to harras girls. Or guys cuz it clearly doesnt matter much.
