Afternoon Tea
Do any of you Brits have afternoon tea? It seems to be much more common up north. I love afternoon tea, somehow I'd feel less British without it. ![]()

I really thought afternoon tea was quite popular in England,
oh well, guess I am one of the few that enjoys it, hehe.
Note to self: Learn how to spell...
Afternoon tea is just an outdated stereotype, just like the non-existant North-South divide. Most young people in the UK drink coffee these days.
Errr no. I thought afternoon tea was just an old-fashioned stereotype......obviously some people enjoy it. I drink tea throughout the day, but i never have an 'afternoon tea slot', and i'm not all that fond of Earl grey. It's ok i guess, but i'd rather just have a regular cup. Though i am rather fond of Drury's English Breakfast tea. ![]()

At 3.00pm tea is given to older people. However may I ask the web what is tea? I see people going home at 7.pm to have tea. The black community have tea, with a biscuit then have their food between 7.00pm and 9.00pm
I love tea..! My mum makes the best cuppa in the world!
I have a cup every morning before work but due to the aforementioned work I dont have a set time slot specially for 'afternoon tea' ![]()
I wouldn't live without it though. Coffee schmoffie!
ps. Earl Grey is nice for an aromatic change every now and then but it really ought to be Yorkshire tea at all other times! ![]()
Dos't thou serve muffins??? Iwas just given a bow of sage and lemongrass tea shall i bring it??
Oh yes, I love Yorkshire tea. Hmm, but Tetley tea is also especially good. ![]()
i use to drink tea in the nighttime only, i'm not Brit ![]()

I love tea, I drinks lots of different kinds all through the day. And I'm not even Enlish! I love coffee as well but I usually only drink it in the morning and sometimes after dinner.
Yes, I love afternoon tea.![]()
I like going to whittards tea shop and I buy different types of tea.
I drink the usual black tea type the most though.

I agree with u about drinks. I love all sorts of teas but nowadays i prefer the fresh fruit juices. Especially Orange juice. But i sacrifaced my teeth for the black tea.

afternoon tea? Like what exactly do you mean? Everything stops and you sit down for a cup of tea at the same time every afternoon?
I thought that was only a crappy fictional stereotype.
Maybe the oldies do it, as they have nothing better to do, the rest of us are working.
