I plan on going to Germany in a little less than two years. Is there anything I should never miss out on while there?

Drink beer. They have some awesome beer. I liked the Kolsch beer from Koln a lot, though every region has its own variety.

Visit at least one Hanseatic city/town (like Hamburg, Bremen, Lübeck...). They are very beautiful and there is just this special something in them which I can't explain but which I feel every time I visit them.

Also in the north, there are beautiful beaches, and you can then everything about the Maritime learn and to the south, there are mountains Eye-wink

hmm, I think it would be nice to go to ski or snowboard in the Alps. I have been to Germany once, when I was 13, so, almost a decade ago, so it might be changed a bit, since Euro time etc. But you can get nice experiences there.

I was in scouts, we slept on a muddy field and in a student/youth hostel. Food was delicious, but it was raining almost all the time, must have been either early spring or later autumn. We visited to West Germany, region between the North and Baltic Sea and in Rhineland, driving through Belgium to France. Hmm, there was one sunny when we visited to an old church, it was really beautiful, so massive and decorated.

So, Sking/Snowboarding, City or Countryside life, could be nice combination two or more to find out new things in life. Smile Laughing

Yes, It would be nice for me to know about upcoming concerts in Germany. I will be visiting in May and would like to know of any concerts and their location. I will visit Frankfurt, Amberg, Regensburg, Salzburg, and Munich. Does anyone know (or can find out) if there are any concerts along this path. Thanks.

When you will visit Germany, then go in the northern part of Germany Smile
You can visit Hamburg ( nice town ), the Northsea/ tidal flats ( very beautiful ), the Baltic Sea and so on.
There are nice places there ( Island Sylt, Sankt Peter Ording, Flensburg etc. )
It´s all near the borderline to denmark....

PS: The best beer comes from the north ( Flensburger etc. )

Depends on what region you will go to. Germany is a little European Union.
The South is very, very different to the North or the erm far East.

visit Lidl, cheapest booze ever!

If they still sell James Cook rum for less than 4 euro, mix it with McD vanilla milkshake (not the Burger King crap), hide in one of their huuuuge graveyards and get really really loaded for almost nothing Thumb up
