Another Holocaust

Would you be willing to risk your life to safe-house people in the terrible event that there was another atrocity like The Holocaust?

Without question I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Me too...it is just too easy to say yes without putting yourself in that position.

femalechana_batata | 27 February 2008 - 12:32am

I'd like to say I would, but it's really easy to just blurt that out. Who knows what real life would bring? It's too easy to judge people who say no and admire those who say yes.

What we need to do today is focus on the regulator, and this must be done in a manner so as not to impede their affordable housing mission."

Democrat Frank Raines is Barack Obama's economic advisor. He said: "These assets are so riskless that their capital for holding them should be under 2%."

"[Earnings to] Mr. Raines: 1.1 million$ bonus and a 526,000$ salary."
Cost to American people: 700 billion$.

I have to agree with you. It would be definitely to easy to say yes or no, but I also would gladly say I would.

Depends on who the holocaust is targeted at, for most groups of people I'd give a helping hand but for a few groups of people I'd definitely support a holocaust.

I agree with SwtSxySthrnBelle, up until the point of her saying she is a black American, what has that got to do with anything. Are you telling me just because you are black(never mind if you are American or not) why would you worry about someone hiding you? When the hurricane hit and devastated New Orleans, Black helped white, and white helped black. I really think that in this day and age, that disaster and help doesn't have a color barrier, or least it shouldn't. At anytime!

You truly are a very vindictive person, how could anyone support a holocaust on anybody, no matter who they are? That is total devastation, we are talking about human lives here, men, women, children and old people. Could you realistically stand by and watch people die with horror on there faces during such devastation? Your hatred outweighs your intelligence!

I really don't know. it's easy to say yes now without any fear for the own life, but at the time it happens you don't know how to act. I think it would depend on who is persecuted... for a friend, I think, I would risk my own life, but for a stranger? I don't think I'm that brave.

Shelyra: I dont think i am that brave"..From my memory you are german. Here in jerusalem we have a list of ordinary german citizens who risked certain death to hide my people during WW2..We call them righteous gentiles..They were not jews, they hid jews without forcing the children to baptism...Shelyra ,you never know how brave you are until it comes to it.

maleEdIsBack | 22 May 2008 - 4:05pm

I think real bravery is knowing your limitations but not preventing you from doing what is right.

maleBrocher | 13 June 2008 - 1:30pm

Aye no bother at aany cost to mysel

maleVBC555 | 19 June 2008 - 4:48am

The problem I would have is this: I would have to wake up every morning and look into the mirror. Passing a place where the people worked or lived would slowly erode my soul.
Shakespeare says this best: “The coward dies many times before his death, the valiant taste death but once.”
I also believe inaction to prevent a murder is akin to murder and Einstein has this one: “The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm but because of those who look at it without doing anything”
I may not be able to hide the person but I would be plotting what to do, how to do it and when to it to disrupt their organization.
I have been an adrenaline junkie my whole life just for the thrills. I would be doing it for a purpose.
I would be doing something.
