We have them almost everyday so most of us don't even feel them. But I can imagine for a place that doesn't get them much, it could be really disconcerting.

Last one I felt was about two weeks ago.

Manchester:
Just curled up to go sleep, and the bed starts shaking like something out of the exorcist! Knew it was an earthquake, recognised it from the time we got a few a while ago.

femaleMean Kitteh | 27 February 2008 - 6:44pm

Yeah we felt it here. I'd just gone to bed and was half asleep and woke up to Emma over excitedly shaking me going "We're having an earthquake!!!" and I was just like yeah whatever... as she's been poorly and hallucinates so I thought that was what was happening...

I don't really think so, but though i live a hell of a long way away from the epicentre, i was dozing in a chair and i was sure i felt something shaking. Kind of seemed to wake me a bit. Of course, i didn't hear about the earthquake until the next day on the news. At the time i just thought it was me that was shaking. Very happy It probably was. Laughing
