Wanted: tips for Australian slang. Or just language differences between US English and Aussie

I'm doing a project for school and I need to know how to speak Australian English haha.
Maybe pronunciations or local words/phrases.

As far as I figured out so far the Aussies pronounce the ER (like in water) like an A.

I can only write from from the German perspective. LOL

I will give you a little insight into aus army ASF thinking.Iwas sent there some years ago to have a loooong talk with some young chaps.The conversation drifted to the soviet incursion into afghanistan and it's logistics,off topic but i let it run,all of a sudden one of their boys says sir SIR those friggin russkies couldn't organise a root in a brothel.I treeeeasure my australian friends.

I am no expert but from my researches and experience,i can say that Aussies pronounce "race" as "rice".So that means,as stated before,the way they pronounce the "e" sound is more like "a".They also kinda swallow the "r" sound at the end of the words.

there are big differences between US English and Australian English, we speak our own english but we spell the same way the British do, which is the right way to spell Laughing
