When I was in Germany many years ago, I found a Bierfest with tents and live music. It was a temporary thing. Do Germans still have Bierfests in small towns, and are they scheduled? How would I find such a thing this next year in Germany?

most of german villages still celebrate a bierfest, mainly in autumn. I think there is no shedule where you can look it up, mainly it is anounced in local press

First of all you should know where you will be located in Germany and then try to find something nearby. You could also try to contact the local tourist info.

hey ananas Smile
nice topic Smile well, it depends on the places.
I come from the northern part of germany and we have every weekend "Bierfeste" in the summer, mostly the time from April til October. We have bigger "Bierfeste" at bigger places....
The biggest one have 3 tents, 1 stage for live-music and a lot of "Bier"-Hanger.
Sometimes there are over 2000 people.
