One in four teen age girls has veneral disease. Many of the babies are playing with lead painted toys.
The drinking water all across the country has hundreds of chemicals and drugs that can't be filtered out.
Third world nation? No its the U.S., sounds very scary for the future.

Thank you conservative Bush/McCain Republicans for global warming, the use of food (corn ethanol) in the gas tanks of SUV's causing famine all over the world. resulting in slow death for all life on earth. Thank you for urban sprawl, the non-stop building of new homes that no one wants, and the destruction of all farmland to build the new homes with illegal labor from south of the border that you won't protect. Thank you for trying to destroy Social Security and medical care for all Americans, great bunch of guys, oh did I mention the non stop wars to support conservative republican arms and ammunition manufactures?
That's not a personal attack by the way javelin. Just merely pointing out what seems to be a fashion with the US government. Some people need to learn that you cannot just make major problems go away like that by plugging the hole with dollar bills.
The truth does not offend me Maranello. What you say is true. I am wondering and gettin very depressed if our country can hold up until Bush leaves office. Every hour on our news something bad has happened. This George Bush is a disaster. Our mortgages have collapsed, the housing market a shambles, no one can make their car payments, no one can pay their credit cards or student loans, hundreds upon thousands of illegal aliens are crossing our borders with the blessing of big buisness Republicans, our health care system is shot. I myself am drawing Social Security and its broke, I also have a government pension and its broke too. Drugs are pouring in across the border and all kids of heavy duty weapons are going the other way.
Now lets see, that sort of thing happened to the Roman Empire too didn't it? they were top dog for a 1000 years but it collapsed, we won't make it that long.

It goes without saying that no matter how many trillions of dollars the government plugs into to lost causes such as Iraq and Afghanistan these so-called countries will NEVER be thankfull for it. The government has the potential there to solve problems such as gun crime, illegal aliens and such overnight if only it gets it's priorities right. In the end who is it that suffers? It's the hard working man on the street, it's the woman trying to raise and feed her kids while at the same time keeping them safe from drugs and guns/gang violence. Javelin, you have given your life for your countryduring times when there was a huge opportunity to learn something. To this very day they don't seem to have learned a thing. I feel for you man, really do. You should NEVER have to be in the situation you're in right now. ![]()
From what I understand it is the Chinese that are actually financing our involvement in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, I don't know exactly how that works but I do know the Chinese are hold huge amounts of our debt or otherwise they have us by the balls.
I don't don't worry at all about my time in the military and the status of us veterans. It is the same all over the world for all soldiers in every country. I was never one of the patriotic types, I went in 3 times and each time was to get a job, that is all, a pay check, bunk, some clothes , food, and medical care, that is why I went in, I did immensely enjoy the travel, and cultures, music, customs, languages, history, of the world and that is what brought me to this site (and now Facebook).

Stop being such a melancholisch monger, javelin
First of all, things are changing, e.g. individual states are starting to look towards universal health coverage within their own borders. Not all are doing it in a very efficient way, in my opinion, but it is starting to happen and if you want to be a part of it, then participate in the municipal meetings so your voice can be heard.
Second, in some areas, things are not going to change if a Dem gets into office. If you think the soldiers in Iraq are going anywhere if a Dem gets elected, then forget what richard said--I say put your head BACK in the sand. ![]()
As for the venereal diseases, like it or not you can't blame George Bush for that. Say thanks to all the hippies from the 60s who decided free love made more sense than a family unit. In my opinion that is what paved the way for what exists now: the sexing up of children, esp girls, from a very young age. Not that i think the 50s was where it's at (the TV probably sucked and they had no Beatles, Eric Clapton or Willem Dafoe, on top of other missing perks), but I doubt you would have seen a nine year old girl in any part of the country walking around with the word "angel" printed across her arse (had they had such things then). I don't think puritanism helps anybody either, but simply swinging the pendulum from one side to the other always has negative effects...and we are seeing them now. Family has been devalued and there is an entire generation of people, many of whom now who have children whom they do their utmost to please because they are afraid to act like parents--they are too busy seeking their children's approval. Yada yada yada I could go on and on. But now you know why I cling to my village life even when I find it very difficult to be there. Some not so good things, sure, but lots of the elder and traditional wisdom has merit.
By the way, I'm told Alaska and New York State both have very good drinking water. You could consider it hey...? ![]()

That's does not surpise me in the slightest. Still, I'm sure they can dip their hands and put forward a few trillion dollars to make it go away. No-one will ever know.
