I am left handed so I hold the fork in my right hand and the knife in my left.. I eat european style, without letting go of the knife if I have something to cut..

but obviously here in the US alot of my friends drop the knife and switch hands.. If that makes sense.

i normally use me fork in my right hand but if i need to cut sumthing i use it in my left and use my knife in my right hand lol
i find it easier

well, my boyfriend is lefthanded and therefor he is doing everything the other way - even eating with the wrong hand. so we often have something like a fight if sitting next to another because we are getting in the others way.

Yeah, left handers do it that way. I was meant to be a left hander but my parents made me learn writing and doing doing sports right handed, but I still retain some left handedness like with the knife and fork, or peeling potatoes.

I know a few right-handed persons beside myself who eat in this reverse way.. and I also know left-handed persons who eat the 'right' way.. so I don't think it's necessarily coupled to whether people are right-handed or left-handed.. though from the responses here it seems that the fraction of left-handers eating this way is bigger.

I'm a right hander but i prefer to use a fork with my right hand and knife with my left. for some reason it just feels more comfortable that way.

I was born ambidextrous but from early childhood i was taught to copy my parents.Knife in the right hand,fork in the left,i can easily do the opposite but i was brainwashed ..

I only eat spagetti with the right hand (fork, no knife)
