I've been getting more and more involved with Russian literature, from classics to science fiction, and I still have a lot to read (I only wish I could read faster Very happy ). I'd like to know, who's your favorite Russian author?

Solschenizyn ... he has written things that many others wouldn't dare to.

Дмитрий Глуховский. Just love his Метро book (http://www.m-e-t-r-o.ru/Metro-01.htm)... It is one of the best SF books ever, no doubt! Smile

Леонид Каганов. He is the author of many funny short stories that I love so much... (http://lleo.aha.ru/arhive/index.htm)

And what about Солженицын... he is god damn moron... and actually that's all I have to say about him...

Горький, Достоевский, Толстой - their stuff is too boring... I cannot think of man reading one of those books without being forced to read it! Laughing

I didn't get any of the names you mentioned. I posted the topic in English because I don't speak Russian. I hope to be able to post in Russian some day, but not just yet Sad

If I may ask, why do you think so?

Fiodor Dostoïevski. The best ever. There is NO Russian author comparable to Him.
