When I last visited Vienna, I saw a group of people protesting against Slovak nuclear power station - Mochovce. I quite understand your fear. Do you think our nuclear plant can threaten your safety?

No. Maybe it sounds strange, but today nuclear energy is one of the cleanest, cheapest and saftiest source of energy. Today's plant is different type from Chernobil, and there are very strict rules of maintaining it.
Fusion energy will be better once, but it is not actual in next 30-40 years.

I am living in Slovakia and I think that nuclear power station Mochovce is and will be very safe too. For example France has much more nucl.powers then Slovakia and nobody feel in danger. Tibor

Every type of nuclear power station can become very dangerous. Mochovce is no exception in a positive or negative way. And: Austria is main client of Mochovce.

Well, all I want is something better than Temelin... What I heard from that plant having thousands of system errors and lacks a year, I don't ever want to go near that!
But as for the other plants. I don't think they do us much harm as long as they're kept safe and are checked regularly!

What made you say this? Most neclear power palants are as old as the Chernobyl one. Any such old power plant makes me worry!
