Would you be interested in attending alcohol free parties if your friends stopped drinking and banned alcohol on their premises?

Weird question I know...but answers would interest me.

I'd be interested. In fact, I would prefer it. I don't drink alcohol so I would welcome the opportunity to finally fit in.

I don't drink a lot or often so it would interest me to go - I don't need drink to have a good time.

I've once attendend such an alcohol free party...Later I was surprised to discover that it was a drug full one...not my game anyway...

Good question, indeed, not a weird one..i've also attended ...er , funeral "parties" where people were drunk and ...flirting(!) after the burial... it may sound strange, but human it is
parties are parties and booze is booze...they can go together or not, depending on personal choices which are always respectful...
I personally wouldn't like a lemonade/cola/tap water party...it wouldn't be fun
But that's only my personal opinion

I normally wouldn't be interested. There are some occassions that you just can't get out of and I would go there. But most of my friends like an alcoholic drink and even those that don't drink won't deny their guests the pleasure of a cold beer.

I don't mind people who don't drink. But I don't see how that should restrict my freedoms. I have been to alcohol free parties. But i prefer a beer now and then over all that sweet stuff.

well past weekend i had a big birthday party (for my birthday hehe) and i said on the invitation that it would be totally alcohol-free. Because everybody knows i never drink.

I thought it might bother some people, but every invited person came! some chose my party above others. Ha! Smile

you can have a good time without drugs.

Agree on the aspartame comment.

As to the question - it would depend on the friends hosting the party.

femaleShelyra | 6 April 2008 - 9:49am

it is not the alcohol that makes fun at a party, it's the people. so I would go to an alcohol free party if there are interesting people. normally I don't drink because I have to drive home, so it wouldn't matter to me anyway

Doesn't make any difference whether they drink or not; i hate parties. Still, wouldn't make any difference to me if everybody else was drinking or not drinking. I don't drink, but other people drinking doesn't bother me.

I normally drink alcohol on a party, but still, I would not have a problem with alcohol free parties. After all, I'm a guest there...
