Do you have a name for the little guy in the refrigerator who turns on the light each time you open the door? and do you thank him each time?

I feel so ungratefull now .... i never said thank you .... but than again i have never seen him either. I think he is hiding cause when i open the fridge im always in compagny of my cat and the dog.
