This is a really good question. I think several tests at different intervals should be taken. When you are both totally sure of each other's trust and fidelity in your relationship, this will then be both your decision.
This can be a really tough call, as I have seen many people in committed relationships get burned.

If you are in a long term committed relationship and you and your partner have equal trust and respect in the relationship i dont feel there is a need to use a condom especially if this is the partner you are going to spend the rest of your life with

I guess that would depend on both people in the relationship .... maybe when u know each otehr well enough to be able to trust each other enough .... i personally think that in any new relationship it would be a nice idea to both get tested together to make sure u are both clean
