Well, I certainly wouldn't waste any part of my time spent there on gambling. 
I'd spend 48 hours exploring as much as possible of Las Vegas. Sightseeing, relaxing and learning as much as possible about the city, about its inhabitants, about its history and present.
Hope for a quick upgrade to Ndjamena.

I'm not much of a gambler (anymore), so I would just go sightseeing in certain casinos for a day, and another day in the desert around Vegas.

Oh I was there 24h once and it was the most hilarious visit to a city ever. I got almost pinned to the wall of an elevator because there was this lady who was wearing this huge hat. And with huge I mean HUGE! It was almost 1 square diameter!

Besides gambling, you can go and see Hoover Dam, that should take about half of a day. If you have a whole day to spend, visit the Nevada Test Site. There are also a number of interesting sights around the city. Have you ever seen one milion dollars in cash? Go to the Silver Horseshoe and get you picture taken next to a cool million bucks (100 $10,000 bills)....or Harrah's car museum. Those who want to go shopping, work the Boulder Highway and all the outlet stores.....phoney as they may be. How about the light show on Fremont?.....

Definitely Not Enough time...But will have as much fun as i can.....
would love to go to vegas... have a little flutter in the casinos hopefully win big and then spend it all shopping !!!! 
Theres nothing really else to do besides the Strip, so I'd just head to the Mirage where they have nice deals on Beer in the Sportsbook and gamble a while. Maybe with some stops to the other Casino's mixed in.
