Trip to Northern Europe and Netherlands...
After being away from home for several years, I decided to make a trip to visit my dad and brothers in NL...
Before that, I'm planning to travel in Northern Europe too...
My targets are Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark...
I have 3 weeks in July to travel and I'll spend the rest of the time (August) with my family..
Question 1. Has anyone used 3 weeks to see Northern Europe?
Question 2. What is the route that you've used? Would you please share with me?
Question 3. What's the budget? (Price of hostel, bus, boat, train... etc, price of a McDonald's meal..)
Question 4. What are the things that I must not miss to see?
Question 5. Is there any direct train from Northern Europe to Holland? How long will it take?
Question 6. Is it common to be seasick on a cruise across Northern Europe? is the sea rough there?
Thanks for your help...

3. In Holland a meal at Mc Donalds will cost you about € 6.00, a lot of variation in the other things.
5. As far as I know there are no direct trains from Denmark and Sweden to Holland.

Going to Northern Germany and Denmark for 3 weeks in May. It may be difficult to go to all of those places in 3 weeks. You won't have much time to stay very long in each country.
Do you have a Rail Pass? www.deutschebahn.de Look here for trains and length of time.
Not sure about cost of food, but when I visited in 2004, not too different from where I live. Not sure about seasickness or rough seas, either.
I found that from Copenhagen, Denmark to Oslo, Norway by train takes at least 10 hours. It would be faster to take a plane. I think it takes about 6 hours to get to Copenhagen to Stockholm, Sweden by train.
As far as things to see, it depends on your interests. Castles, nature, history, etc. I am visiting Germany, and I have heard that even Germans haven't seen all of Germany.
Tschüß,
Scott
