Brugge is wonderful. I also love the squares of the uni area in Antwerp. And mabe the most beautiful natural place is the 'Tombeau du Geant' in Botassart. And of course Antwerp as a whole.

Antwerp and Brussels but the Ardennes are great too.
Brugges is lovely. I also enjoyed visiting Brussels (drinking beer as I went).
I prefer Leuven and Antwerp. Mechelen is nice as well, but not so well known among tourists, I think.

and that while you live relatively close to it. Shame on you indeed! I went to school in Mechelen for 6 years, so I know the city quite well.

I live on the border of the province. 
And true, they use funny words sometimes. Katelijne is next to my village, but we don't use the words boesjkammeree.

true, boesjkammaree is truly a mechelen only word. I too have been to school in Mechelen, to the lyceum (art department, former sito)

I went to the Sint-Romboutscollege. Kind of a snob school. I'm glad I don't have to have contact with those people anymore.

Ghent is my favourite place in Belgium, I live there since I was born. Brussels is beautifull as well.
Leuven, I left my heart there:

I have to say besides Leuven my favorite place was probably Brugge. It is a bit touristy but pretty nice place.
The other places I liked were Waterloo and Ghent. The small part I saw of it this time I went.
