Depends on how much money you want to spend.

What are your interests? History, culture, nature? Than I could give you some suggestions where to go.

History - culture - nature. I want to experience it all! But on a somewhat limited budget. I suppose if I was to pick - perhaps culture. I want to see, taste and do things that are unique to your country.

Uhm ..... hmmmmm ......haring happe Very happy Haring is a dutch fish you have to try Very happy
The best place to get real dutch culture im affraid is in a place where no well minded dutch person will ever admit to have been Very happy

VOLENDAM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volendam

It actually has a lot of the real dutch culture ... wooden shoes .. old houses ... etc etc...
If you feel like it you can also get your picture taken in old dutch style clothes.
Walk along the coastline or enjoy the dutch sun on a terras drinking a beer.

* glares around * BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE !!!!!

De Zaanse Schans is also typical Dutch and very touristy.

For food, like Rhian said, the raw herring of course, and stroopwafels. And combining food and culture, go to the cheese market in Alkmaar, which has also a lot of historical buildings and monuments.
Also the wind mills in Kinderdijk are a major tourist attraction, as well as the Delta works in Zeeland.

As for nature, I would recommend the national parcs "De hoge veluwe" and "de Bieschbosch".
