If the both of you are into continually showing your affection quite often then this is perfectly healthy. It's when one person is into it and the other not so much when problems can arise and relationships do suffer. Spontaneity is the best and frequency not so important.

I dont think that with 2 healthy people who enjoy sex together that there can be too much sex ... daily sex is definetley not too much. I think there could be problems if you and your partners sex drives are very different

I had a friend like that a few years ago. He couldn't get enough sex.. but as is the case with many guys, he always preferred "new meat", was incapable of having a platonic relationship with a lady and confessed to always getting a "woody" when standing next to a pretty girl... weird, huh? In twenties - sex frequency is like newspapers - daily with many editions.

In thirties - sex frequency is like weekly magazines -once a week.

In forties - sex frequency may compared with fortnightly magazines, once a fortnight.
