Monkey Island 1 & 2
Can't really find anywhere else appropriate for this other than maybe nostalgia..anyway
Anyone out there apart from myself and Manda (Aura321) a fan of the point and click Monkey Island adventures? I've recently found out that you can export them to PSP, DS & (although mindboggling to me) the Nintendo Wii.

I never bothered to complete the fourth game...I got stuck on Monkey Combat and thought sod it. I wonder if they would revert back to 2d to a possible 5th?
Its a bit like the new Simon Sorcerer in 3d...loses its novelty and the voice overs are awful!
haha saw the topic and knew it would be you ![]()
nice topic.^^ i miss the old games, too. monkey island, day of the tentacle and especially i'd like to see a new version of colonization... not always civilization...

You can play pretty much any of the golden oldies on your PC through software called ScummVM so dig out the classics and relive your childhood ![]()

I loved this games - the best ever made! there were so many jokes I can't remember all. just remember the grog, or the uncommon sword fight, or the pink ship, or the suicide by jumping ot the cliff just to land on a rubber tree (my favourite)... sadly there hasn't been any of this kind in the last years, so we have to stick to our memories or play the game again.
Guybrush: Look behind you, a three-headed monkey!
Guard: Ooo, the governer's favorite! Better go tell the chef.

You are rubber...i am glue!

"Guybrush Threepwood: Do you know anything about lifting curses?
Murray: Oh, right. I know a lot about lifting curses. That's why I'm a disembodied talking skull sitting on top of a spike in the middle of a swamp.
Guybrush Threepwood: You seem bitter.
Murray: I'm sorry. It's been a rough day."
The Curse of Monkey Island is still my favourite, but the first two are masterpieces as well. The fourth game, on the other hand...well, that was a bit of a disappointment.
