Jim ma Akita pup has decided that he prefers lyin in ma bed instead a

an ignoes me.
I wis warned Akita's can be dominant, but this is nae joke,
I bought him a sheepskin blanket to keep him warm an a huge dog pillow, an still he's no happy.
I'd appreciate aany help wae the furry hooligan. Smile

Looks like the dog's bed is now your's.
At least you have a huge pillow, and a sheepskin to keep you warm.
I honestly have no idea of any relevant advice to give though, since i know nothing about caring for dogs. Be more stern?

I quickly checked google ( wikipedia ) on Akita's. They look really beautifull ......
and also have the same kind of spirit our border collie has.
I strongly advice you to get as much information as you can about the dog. Use google and all.
The main thing with dogs like that is that you really have to be the boss and no slacking on that one. As soon as you slack on being the boss the dog will use that against you.
You have to teach him not to be on the bed. BUT ...... be patient it might take a couple of weeks or longer. There is a fun part about it. You teach him by praising him for his good behavior. When he lies on the floor give him a treat. Don't punish him when he goes on the bed but get the dog off the bed and tell him NO.
I found a website for you that might help you bit.
